Baby names. It seems all the Internet ever thinks people want to name is babies (which is fine), but we writers know there's a whole population of people out there that are naming babies of an entirely different sort, the kind that spring into the world fully grown from our own vibrant imaginations. That's what this list is for. Names for characters, on a site without ads for rattles and teething toys and cribs in the margins. Those who have been following my blog for any time at all probably remember the posts that provided lists for male and female English names, and I thought I'd try another ethnicity—that of God's chosen people, the Israelites. (Besides, I have to admit, I just really like Hebrew names). Though a lot of this list consists of names that can be found in the Bible, many them aren't, so if you're looking for Bible names, you'll have to do some of the sifting yourself. :) Also this list is only has male names on it. If you're looking for female Hebrew names, this is the list for you.
